Railway diagnostics of Russia and France have got into contact
On 16 March 2016 a high-profile delegation from National society of French railways (SNCF) visited TVEMA’s production base in Moscow within the framework of the French specialists’ official travel to Russia aimed at the establishment of scientific collaboration with leading research institutes and innovative companies. Production of our company drew the attention of SNCF’s representatives at last year’s railway forum EXPO 1520 which took place in Sherbinka near Moscow. The purpose of this visit was more detailed examination of TVEMA’s production.
After the meeting with company management and leading experts of TVEMA the guests took part in test ride of “SPRINTER” high-speed inspection vehicle, which were realized at the Oktyabrskaya Railway. The ride served to demonstrate our French colleagues the unique capabilities of this unparalleled in terms of its technical characteristics complex, which was able to carry out non-destructive testing of rails, railway track geometry monitoring and permanent way video inspection simultaneously at speeds up to 120 km/h.
The challenge facing our French colleagues at the moment is to implement the high-speed (at speeds up to 140 km/h) ultrasonic non-destructive railway testing in France, and the delegation was impressed by the quality and measurement capabilities of the complex. The visit resulted in decision to develop mutually beneficial partnership.
We hope, that the next meeting of company management and National society of French railways’ representatives, scheduled for 30 March in Paris, as well as the agreements, which have been reached in Moscow, will contribute to the development in railway infrastructure diagnostic sphere between Russia and France.
