However, they face challenges on curved tracks or sections with lateral wear, where periodic adjustments are required.

In contrast, sliding search systems excel in maintaining stable acoustic contact on profile changes, such as curved or worn rails, without the need for frequent adjustments. While rolling systems are better suited for planar changes, sliding systems offer greater adaptability to varying track conditions.

The future of rail inspection lies in hybrid solutions that combine the strengths of both systems, ensuring optimal performance across diverse railway environments.
